Laquer thinner or denatured alcohol to remove airbag stickers?

I picked up both Denatured Alcohol and Lacquer Thinner to remove the silly airbag stickers on the visor. Which is better?

"Better" is defined as: will most quickly remove the sticker AND do no damage at all to the visor?

Nether, buy the black air bag stickers on eBay and put them on top of the stickers. They work great, mine have been on for three years.

What was wrong with the wd40 I used and suggested? Is ten minutes too much work?

Denatured alcohol. Rubber gloves. Patience. Finish with 303 Aerospcae. Adds about 3 HP.

Correct. (Not sure about the power gain...forgot to do a before and after dyno run.)

Lacquer thinner is nasty stuff and will react badly with just about any plastic of vinyl it contacts.

+1 on the cover-up stickers. You have to look really closely to even see that they are there. The downside is that you only get a 1 or 2 hp gain with the stickers.

I did the same thing, 9 years ago. They look great and no issues.

Used alcohol on mine and it did no damage at all to the vinyl. Lacquer thinner will make it soft and wrinkle it up... don't use it! May not be the fastest but it didn't take more than 10 minutes to get it done.

Agreed...why cover up something unwanted when you can safely (and fairly easily) remove it? It's like putting a bandaid over an ugly mole!

I took the harsh nasty route, it was very clean when done but some what lighter then the black around it...no surprise there. Here's the thing though, I had black dye I had used on my seats and next used that. They now look like brand new, as if they never came with any sticker ever. I've had several people look at them and they say they look perfect.

The denatured alcohol worked great. Put it on a rag, rubbed it on, and in about 30 seconds it starts coming apart. About 3 minutes of rubbing later, and it's gone. No damage to either the visor or the vinyl.
