I live in Maryland, so you can drive most of the year with the top down. I bought the boxster specifically for the drop top. I ride motorcycles as much as possible so a little cold air doesn't bother me. I have a BMW and a truck to drive in poopy weather and I can save some wear & tear in the P-car. Top down- windows down is the way I roll.

I am in Maryland as well and I see people driving with the top down all the time even when it is cold and freezing outside. Not just Boxsters, but SLK's, Z3's and Z4's and 3 series and TT's, etc.

I never liked convertibles, not my style, but I loved the way the Boxster feels and handles and sounds. So In this past year of ownership, I probably put the top down 10 times total.
