Headlight problem. Won't come out. Alen spinning around

As title says
Tried to use the tool to remove headlight but it will turn around and around
Headlight it self won't move

Any ideas???
Never did it before so I dont know how the locking system works or looks

In the 98 there are two screws quite close to each other. One is the adjuster, which would just turn if attacked and if you weren't looking would appear to be doing nothing. The other is the removal system, which (in my 98) requires a 6mm hex socket. Are you sure you are turning the right one? The only reason I ask is because you mention a "alen" in your title. If you have the right one it will only take about a 90 degree turn to dislodge the headlight. The driver side needs to be turned anti clockwise and the passenger side clockwise. Hope this helps.

Yeah, this happened to me the first time...was in the wrong hole. Mine has big round rubber plugs in the removal holes and oval flaps in the adjuster holes.

It's blurry, but clear enough. It's the round knobbed one.

That's strange...iirc its one solid bar with a hex head, so that would mean that either the bar or tool is stripped.

I just popped my headlight out and checked. It's definitely one solid bar and only rotates 180 degrees, even with the light removed, so something may be stripped.

Is there any way to acces the headlight by removal of the fender???
I'm afraid that some 5$/hr mechanic fixed them in place

I would suggest using a ratchet w/ extension to access the latch head to check before buying any new parts. In my case, I thought I had a stripped locking mechanism when it was only a stripped access tool! Tool was junk, using a ratchet now and everything works perfectly.

My tool wasn't original and was wrong size
Too big
I looked up the tool on the Internet and mine is different

Lights are off he car!!!!!!
