Without going into the garage to check the Bently Manual, I remember I had to make a little dipstick and have the fluid level 11 mm down from the opening. Is my memory good, bad or mixed up on this ? You are correct for the five speed, but not the six speed; the level in the five speed needs to be down a bit from the fill plug. Best tool for this is a bent wire or paper clip used as a "dipstick". The six speed is filled until it overflows.
