Removing airbag stickers - 3M adhesive remover, alcohol, or acetone?

Heavy solvent not a good idea took all of 2 seconds to turn the decal into goo. wiped it off, but it left the the plastic dry, and took some of the grain off. On the other side I just used WD 40 and fine steel wool. It took all of ten minutes (maybe less if I was not taking pictures) to do. Attached Images
