iPad mount?

Anyone mount an iPad instead of a GPS in their car? Looking for pictures / ideas...
I'd rather not buy another GPS, since the iPad pretty much goes wherever I do, and it has a few nice nav apps...

No. The iPad is bigger than the car. I use a cup-holder mount for my GPS and it works wonderfully. There's just no place for an iPad. If you have the desire for a huge dash-mounted screen you can replace the radio with a double-din radio,cd,gps unit. For me, that was still too gaudy.

That's kind of what I thought, but figured somebody might have tried it and have a pic or two. When I'm solo, I put it on the passenger seat when I need nav, but it does get tossed around a bit, and I'm sure it's going to end up on the floor sooner or later.

I agree the ipad is kind of big for the Boxster but there are lots of mounts available via google search.

Those windshield mounts will certainly get you stopped. Too much windshield blockage. That one along the console would work. Still too big.

Yeah, I never imagined a windshield mount would work, certainly not in the boxster...
