We could easily supply the systems without the switch and the end user could simply plug it in and install.. Its a no brainer, the switch connector is already in place, wired and tested.
But if someone gets a bad switch out of the box, then we hit an issue that I'd have to avoid.
The way I work is this:
We do things right and all the way, or not at all. I refuse to create variables that can negatively impact my reputation for excellence just to fill an order.. I'd rather lose sales and have backlogs as to risk anything else.
Heard from Porsche just now and 287 switches are due in by the end of the month, so we can maintain our production of the units. Each of these is being assembled on site, here.. Mass production at a factory was not a possibility- none of them could meet my expectations for quality.
