I finally got around to pick up the kit from the bodyshop. It's all painted up and ready to go on the car. I'm not sure when I'll get around to it but at least it's ready to go. Now I have to wait a bit longer (8-12 weeks) for the rims to get done along with some other trinkets. :) |
Looks great!
Why did you not fill up the bumper hole? |
 !! Really?

I did have them fill the license plate square holes tho. |
If you don't mind, how much did it cost for the painting?

I am, however, fortunate to have a close family friend that owns a paint and body shop who did the job for free. |
That's great thanks. GL with the install. Post some pics.

Looks awesome! You will never regret going with the OEM Aerokit.
You'll have no issues with fitment, etc... Can't wait to see what you have for rims coming down the line. |

Did you ever install the Aerokit?
|
Any photo of it installed? I'm not sure if it was a good idea to paint that horizontal bar at the radiator intakes or leave it black. I think it looks better if the bar is black to make the hole appears large and aggressive looking.
It shouldn't cost $1200. From my experience it will cost about $500, here's the break down: -material (paint, primer, thinner, etc...) is under $200. Any top of the line product (from PPG, ANobel, HoC, etc...) -labor is about 2hr prep sand body fill + 1hr prime + 1hr paint @$40-50/hr -equipment fee would be about $200... just a guess. I'm a part time bodyman and painter. Painting like that is cake walk! There's no masking or anything except few holes! |
Where in Texas are you? I have an Aerokit that needs painting.
