Water pump and motor mount with ramps?

Is it possible to change the water pump and engine mount with the car on ramps (about 7" high). I REALLY hate jack stands, and I had my rear end on ramps recently to swap mufflers in which i had PLENTY of room to fully maneuver and whatnot.

Thoughts?

You can absolutely change the motor mount with ramps... that's how I did it.

Motor mount - no problem. The only problem I see with the water pump is getting something big enough to hold 5 gallons of coolant under the drain hole with only seven inches of clearance under the car.

I'm with you on the jack stands. I like having 17" of room under the car, but the lifting/lowering process is a pain with a real potential for disaster. I'm seriously considering a lift, probably a Max Jax Two Post Lift. Over the long term i think it will be well worth the money.
