Transmission Rear Main Shaft Seal leaking, again

I replaced my clutch just under ~2k miles ago, and along with that, I replaced the rear main shaft seal in the transmission.

About 50 miles after I done that, it started leaking. So I replaced the seal again and made sure 100% that it was fitted properly.

It is now leaking transmission oil again. FML.

Is there something i put on the seal to make it stay in place? Some kind of glue/lube? And to stop it from leaking..

Thanks.

no there is not. i went through three of them myself. just make sure you have the latest updated seal. i think it went through two revisions.

I got the latest one both times, I made sure of it for the 2nd. Just odd that it keeps happening.

There has to be something you can put around it to keep it sealed in there. The original one in mine was stuck in there like glue.

i suppose it could not hurt to use some kind of high temp gasket sealent.

Whats the worst that could happen? Leak...
