T: It seems that if you need some warranty work done..which only the dealer can do ...and you'd need to call them to get an appointment anyway. Simply have them run the VIN# while you hold and see what the 'official' date is.

The dealer's service data base is what the service dept goes by. Technically, the clock should start on the day the car first drove out of the showroom. If it really is later than this date, perhaps your car was a loaner, rental, or demo.

The service dept is the first place to call.

I called Boardwalk Porsche and the warranty expired on 4/27/05. So Carfax was correct. Wouldn't you know it, a rear wheel bearing goes bad and the driver's door power window starts acting weird in late May.
