Got it from ****************************************************. It is genuine Porsche, part #970 559 235 01. Here is how I did it.
- Remove old emblem...so much fun (I went to the dentist yesterday and that was fun too

- Orbital buff with a med cut, then fine cut, then compound, then polish. Paint will now be like glass and all but the faintest outline of the old emblem will be gone.
- Use a string that reaches from tail light to tail light. Tape it securely on to each tail light exactly where the red plastic transitions to the clear (smoked in my case) plastic. It will now be acting as a plumb line
- Determine the exact middle and mark string with sharpie. This is where the S will go.
- Stick on the 'S' so that the sharpie mark is exactly in the middle of the letter.
- To stick on the remaining letters you can do it two ways. 1 - mark the string the distance you want between each letter (in my case I used one inch); 2 - or use one inch painters tape and apply it to the outside of each letter as you stick them on. I used both methods together actually. I initial marked the string but was concerned about the top and bottom of each letter being exactly one inch top and bottom to the letter beside it...so as I added each letter I put the tape in place.
I'm sure there are probably better ways, but this was the only way I could think of making sure it was level, spaced properly, and that each letter would not be cockeyed to the one beside it.
It is very easy to clean around now, but even if you put the Boxster 'S' back on at least you won't have all that old build up of wax and dirt.
Cheers.
