			Hi Pothole.
I quite liked them, never mind as our MOT regulations are in the process of changing here in the UK, making it illegal to have after market HID's or litronic style head lights, unless you have head light, self leveling mechanism and head light washers fitted, you will be unlikely to see them on our older Boxsters over here, so you can relax.
Much bigger forum than our UK "BoXa.net" forum here.

			jinster,
with all of the led halos, etc did these require any extra wiring. supposing that there was no swap to hid were they plug and play? they are a little busy for my taste. but, they're at least an alternative. they will certainly be more attractive if there is no further requirement other than a simple install. thanks.

 3. The round things are projector lenses - but the lights only come with halogen globes. I have already switched them to HID bulbs - there is a very distinct cut-off/level to the beam. But my left-hand beam is angling slightly high. I will need to adjust the headlight mounting plate.
 4. I will post some pics of what they look like lit up at dusk with the parking lights. Suffice to say, it's very "Audi-like" with the DRL LED look.

Did you get a chance for some night photos? I'd like to see how the DRLs and turn signals look

Hi, it would be super nice if you could take a few more pictures of your LED headlamp set-up. I am not convinced by the chrome in them but it could be just the camera, exposure or anything like that. More pics more pics! evening/night shots if you have.
 cheers

I've been trying for awhile to get more information about these headlights.
I was burned by some LED bulbs I bought off ebay (burned as they don't work as described, not literally "burned") so I'm incredibly skeptical of any LED anything purchased online.

If anyone in St. Louis has a pair of these I'd love to see them, but I wouldn't buy aftermarket headlights sight-unseen

I would like to buy these headlights and convert to HID, but I have a couple questions:1) I understand that for halogen it is plug and play, but what is involved converting to HID? Where does the ballast go (inside the pod)? How do you rewire (inside the pod or do you need to rewire at the "plug" where the pod slides into)? Do you have pictures?
 2) I don't have DRL, can I leave the parking lights on and get the same effect?

 Thanks

LHD headlights are pointed slightly to the right side (and vice versa for RHD) to reduce the glare to oncoming traffic.

				Group buy

Lets not let this thread die, as I am sure we could put together a group buy on a "few"pairs of these. I will be happy to head this up if no one has pulled the trigger. Ebay runs around 800 for the set (LHD) I see no reason why we can't pick 'em up for 500

i spoke with the MFG last month about that.
they sell them for $680 (minimum order of 4 sets) + $300 shipping, bringing the price to $755/set. they don't offer drop shipping so add another $45 or so to get them from a central location to each buyer brings them to $800/set. for 10+ sets, they drop the price to $660/set.

i see the reason they can't be brought down to $500/set.

they ship within 2 weeks and takes 5 days to arrive to the US.

There is a thread in the diy forum where members can buy these in chrome or black for $795+$45 shipping per pair without the hassle of a group buy...seems reasonable to me. I might pull the trigger soon.
I think the clear chrome would look real nice on my Glacier White 986...or real ricey. Havent decided yet. Need to find some pics of them on a white car. I usually like to stay as stock as possible, but the stock headlights just dont look right to me. When I saw a Boxster for the first time, that was what stood out the most...I liked everything but the headlights.

heres the thread
Remove amber film on headlights

Any pics of these things lit up at night on a 986? If they're so cool, you would think pictures on peoples cars would be all over the forum.

Personally, I just want the amber gone. I'll admit that amber looks nice with certain color paints, just not white. There is an awful color contrast that really stands out. Someday, maybe, but I'll have to do more research for pics before I drop $1k on some plastic bits.
