Boxster S oil smells

Hi

My first thread so not sure this is going to work. My Boxster S has done 59000 miles and is in all round good order and no worries but recent oil smells suggest leak (onto the exhaust perhaps?).

What is this likely to be please anyone?

Thanks

Chris

The synthetic oil has a peculiar smell unlike regular oil. You could have a small like from a spark tube or a final drive seal leaking down on the exhaust.

...and for example if you have a leak in the power steering it smells like the oil my other used to oil her sewing machine, and you will only smell it on the driver's side
That's why I asked for more details
