00-04 roof swap issues - broken part..

Hi,
New to the forum so not sure what section to post this in. I have been referred to this forum from Boxa.net due to some issues I am having with an 04 roof I have purchased for my 2000 Boxster S.
The roof was supplied form a breaker in the UK from an 04 986 and sold in full working condition.
When it arrived I checked it over and all appeared OK until I started to clean it and noticed a sheered metal part. Please see attached photo.
The breaker has been great and offered me a full refund as he didn’t see the issue when supplying me (which I believe)
I thought the part should be easy to replace from another 986 and the breaker agreed so I sent him some photos and he sent me the part he thought I needed.
Trouble is the part he sent me isn’t the same as I need and looking on my own car with the roof in service mode I can see that the part he has sent me looks the same as on my car so I can understand why this has occurred as he doesn’t have any more 03-04 boxsters in stock just older models.
My question is can this roof I have be salvaged and can any parts from my existing roof be swapped over to make it work?
I have read the guide to changing the roof over and it seems straight forward and doesn’t mention swapping any parts over but I would dearly love to get this new roof in a state where I can install it on my car if at all possible.
The part which has broken doesn’t have a 986 number on it it only has 1 043 070 00 and is attached to another part without a 986 number 1043 469 00 and they form a pivot screwed by two torx screws into the bottom rail of the roof frame and clipped on the other end.
Does anyone know what these parts are and how I can get a quote from Porsche for replacement as the breaker has said he may stand the charge but Porsche parts dept won’t help me without a 986 number. I have looked on the 04 PET but can't seem to trace the parts above?
I have uploaded some photos which show the broken part, its location on the roof frame and the part the breaker has sent me to replace it which seems to be incorrect.
Any help greatly appreciated.

03-04 Roof

I d'ont think you will be able to swap ur 1997-2002 top parts with the 2003-2004 roof.
2003-2004 are a different design with one more brace and glass rear window.
Good luck.

You should be able to swap that particular part out. the difference between the 97-02 vs 03-04 was an addition of a 4th bow that was used to allow for a larger glass window..

Absolutely not true. The 03-04 roof is a bolt-on on the MY2000. Without broken parts, of course.

your part looks like

OEM-9865614430070C 150$

Go to pelican parts and look it up, the diagram will make more sense to you because you can see exactly where the part is.

How about getting it welded back together?

Thanks for the replies.
I don't think welding is an option as the parts don't sit nicely together so there may of been some twisting before the break.
The second part number I don't think is the one I require as looking at this page,
Pelican parts
Part number 23 is the one on my car now and the one the breaker has sent me. The part I require is much smaller - about the size of the palm of my hand and woudl replace this part along with the other small piece.
That diagram is the same as the one I have. Does anyone know of an exploded diagram for the later roof please?
Thanks again.

I know it will fit, if it is complete whithout broken parts, but his problem is that he received it broken

both people are correct....

The roof system will bolt up to MY 99-04 but the most parts are not interchangeable between MY99-2002 and MY 2003-04
