Silver interior paint

As you guys may know, the older Boxes came with front and rear latches on the side of the driver's seat that were the old, lift up cable system. These are usually finished in a very bright silver paint. Looks ALMOST like a chrome silver paint.

On a number of my Boxes, these latches are scuffed up quite a bit from the foot dragging across the surface of the latch.

Porsche does NOT stock a touch up paint for this trim nor do they have a paint code that I am aware of. Since this same trim color is used elsewhere in the interior, I am wondering if any of you guys have found an acceptable replacement paint?

Any insights will be greatly appreciated and shared far and wide!

Thanks

I'd be very interested in finding a replacement for this Alumalook Paint as well. I'd like to paint my map covers. Has anyone found a matching paint?

I don't know if they have a matching color, but it's worth a try. Lowe's carries a spray paint that is specifically for plastic. It's great stuff. They also have a clear coat for protection and it's not supposed to yellow. I used it for a shift knob cap and it turned out beautiful.

See if Eastwood carries anything. When I had my 968, I hated the black plastic on the console. They had a plastic/vinyl paint called "buckskin" which was a close match for the cashmere interior. Three coats later, it looked like an OEM piece. Check them out.
