Dodged a Bullet

Well, at least I delayed the impact... Just got a poly rib belt from Pellican, and before I could install it, my Boxster started making a whirring/grinding kind of noise.... I had to drive her a few miles to get home, but made it... Pulled off the old belt and it was a total mess; cracked everywhere and missing some chunks. Replaced it with very little drama, crossed my fingers, turned the key, fired her up, and whirr-grind-whirrr.... Sh#t. Peruse the forums, think about it a bit, and I decide it's probably the power steering pump.

Now, I've only had her for a month, and I didn't even know where the power steering resevoir was.... But I found it, and it was bone dry!

Got some hydraulic fluid from the local Porsche dealer, filled it back up, crossed my fingers, turned the key..... and nothing but beautiful smooth engine noise... Ahhhh. No telling what damage I may have done driving with the resevoir so low, but for now she seems ok....
