Poor grip on wet roads w/ Fulda tires?

Anyone else experience a VERY poor grip on wet roads? I have Fulda Carat Extremos, and the antilock system kicks in almost immediately on wet or gritty surfaces.

I drive moderately hard, but my Jag XJ8 with Sumitomos has absolutely NO problem in these conditions..

What the deal-yo?

My boxster with brand new Kumhos is absolutely scary on wet Houston roads that are usually covered in oil... water on oil-laden streets is bad for any car here, but I just park the car when it has the smallest chance of rain for this reason alone.

Another tire choice with a softer compound like a Pirelli might help you, but then you'll be replacing them at least once a year... well at least the rear ones.

I've never experienced a car that burns up tires so quickly when I do not spin them a lick! I still love it though. Most fun I've had with my clothes on.

They shouldn't be that bad - check your tyre pressures are correct firstly.

Fulda are part of the continental group, and their tyres are pretty well regarded in Europe. Certainly rated much higher than the likes of Kumho, which seem to have a bit of a following in the US

Wet & dry contact patch

Hi fellow Porsche Boxster enthusiasts.
After Porsche comparisons of several brands, I favor Bridgestone Pole Position 3's.
The compound changes progressively with wear.
The contact patch is pleasingly sticky in wet or dry!
On the last pair on my 2000 Boxster S, there were 30,000 miles with more than 1/4 of tread left when I recently replaced the rears only; fronts have more than 1/2.
Several excellent alternatives from Yokohama and others are now available.
Bridgestone Portenza Pole Position 3's are among the best.
