LED headlight bulbs?

Hi,

I saw these LED headlight bulbs on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H7-18-SMDs-LED-HEAD-LIGHT-BULBS-HIGH-BEAM-XENON-WHITE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aBoxsterQQhashZitem 2a0e29351bQQitemZ180626208027QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fT ruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Are they good for our cars? LED should be running cooler that halogen and it's supposed to be whiter.. right?

Does anyone has any experience with this type of bulbs?

Also are there any low beam LED bulbs?

Thanks
Sasha

I'm talking about bulbs, not headlights...

I remember there was a pair of LED headlights for Boxster on ebay for 1700$

Cool LED Low Beam Lights

Sasha,

I just discovered LED low beam lights - a direct plug in, supposedly, but still with a little work, as well as LED driving lights, at Pedro's Garage, out of the Miami, FL area. I haven't tried them yet, but will probably be ordered them soon. Finishing up a couple of other projects, and have to save more pennies before starting the next project.

wow really? I never thought it could be possible for led bulbs to be as bright as halogen let alone xenon bulbs for low beam use

looking at the bulb displayed on ebay, i just can't imagine how that can be bright enought for practical use

LED lights for Boxster

I probably wasn't clear... the bulbs to which I was referring are to replace the halogen parking lights in your headlamp units.. not as a replacement for the low beam headlights. Sorry for any confusion.
