When I got my 97 there were no cupholders
ordered by the person that owned it before me
I bought some off of other forum members
that were parting out their cars
987 come with cupholders in dash if u order them
From what I know there r 4 styles u can get
1-ones that go into the vents L & R
2-ones that go into the center console-cartridge
3-aftermarket that fit into armrest center console
4-Aftermarket that sit on floor, have a tab that tucks in
under center console side cover

no .
if I have any drinks in the car typically it would be in a resealable bottle (water).
Don't drink and drive.

Same with me, a resealable water bottle most times. Unless you count having a passenger hold your coffee cup while you drive.

I just bought a '98 and I had heard that the cupholders usually were broken so it seemed like a good sign when I saw one in the passenger vent...

I'll give a German response:
A car is meant for driving, not to be used as a dinner table or restaurant.
And no I do not have cup holders. My Saturn has enought for both cars.

hah, glad i'm not the only one in the "no cupholders" camp. none here. i use them all the time in my other vehicles, but don't feel the need in the boxster. resealable bottle that sits in the passenger seat. if i'm doing some "driving!" then it goes in the frunk in the spare tire's pocket so as not to roll around.

Some people spend significant cost and go to extremes to shed weight off their Boxsters yet they want cup holders and add pounds to their bodies by eating fast food. I will never understand.
