Cabin Filter Question?

Hi,

I was just wondering if there is suppose to be a plastic cover that snaps into place directly over the cabin air filter??

I have the plastic cover thats located next to the battery but beyond that my cabin filter is just exposed.

Pic attached

Yes, there are perforated covers on both the right and left sides of the battery cover.

Both of mine have a semi cover. It sits just an inch or so above the filter but only covers about half of it.

On my 01 Box, there is a large piece of plastic that covers fender to fender with a removable cover to expose the battery and perforated holes on both sides. Just like the picture in the 3rd post.

But there is no extra cover for the cabin filter itself. I've always wondered if I'm missing a cabin filter cover as the filter is just a slip and slide into position. It's securely in place though and the old filter seems to have survived the last 9 years !! (suspect it's never been changed before ! Until I did it last year)

Here is the pic of my 2000 'S' (after the plastic outer cover taken off):

The small cover helps direct air on the left side looks like fabric but it's not, just a soft plastic.
