Garage
got it dirty

after spending hours chipping ice off the driveway, glancing at the rear of the car in the garage, i did it. i unplugged the battery keeper, fired it up, and cringed as i dodged pot holes and got it dirty. successfully made it to route 3 north and took my daughter back home in boston. car sounded great, ran great, and sounded the 78 MPH alarm many times. i can't wait for better roads, sunshine, and warmer weather.

It finally got to historically normal temps here in my part of Arkansas yesterday (53 deg) and I put the top down and drove through the snow melt. Got mine dirty too.

I'm still keeping mine in he garage until the roads are a bit cleaner. I know a dirty car is no big deal and I should be driving it as much as possible but I can't pull the car out just yet.

I need to set that up. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten such a bad ticket last year. Where the "$" is for the amount owed for the ticket read "COURT". Automatic court dates are rookie mistakes. I would recommend people to set this "alarm" that have heavy feet.

Maybe I need to toughen up and take my car out this week. I'm not saving it for the next owner but over the past few years I have be ome neurotic about my 3rd car being perfect.

On many of my previous cars I used to be fanatical about keeping them pristine, storing them for the winter, away from salt, and shiny all the time. I became a slave to my cars and I got sick of it. With my current cars, Porsche included, I maintain and clean them but I drive them, especially the Boxster, everyday regardless of the weather. I enjoy it much more this way.

Life is short.

As in you might not make it home tonight.

Drive it, drive it, drive it.

Am in VA and now that am off the summer tires intend to drive mine daily unless I can anticipate any real accumulation.
