De-snorkling a 2.7

I just read somewhere about this procedure. Anyone out there who has done the same? Apparently it is a 10 minute job and the result is quite good. Any comment will be appreciated. Cheers!

Yeah its real simple and the sound of the intake increases. You can do a search on how to do it, but its basically just taking the driver side air scoop off and yanking the **************** out of the snorkle till it comes out.

I did it to my car, but I'm sure you'll have a few people tell you that performance actually decreases but I couldn't tell a difference

If de-snorkling is a good idea, why did Porsche add it in the first place?

Did mine, a bit more noise did not notice any decrease in performance or any increased fuel consumption.

But I think you will find that.................

Where in Australia are you? A fellow member could drop by and lend a hand to do it.

It only has one, If your car is right hand drive (the proper side )

the snorkle is in the passenger side vent (left hand side of the car)
