ABS / Traction Control permanently on

Hey all,

I used the Car in the snow and it was trying to grip, after a while of being unsuccesful the abs and traction control lights came on and it was obvious i was loosing even more grip.

Now i have turned off the Traction control before so i am aware of the on / off button but pressing it makes no difference.

Basically both lights stay on permanently now and i have zero grip and not as good braking.

Sometimes i switch the car ignition to middle and hold the traction button and it stays off but after a while both it and the abs come back on.

Any ideas because its not the safest and very frustrating.

Thanks, as always.

You need to inspect your rear brake pads, and make sure they are still in good condition.

Also, if you have a Durametric, hook it up, and see what the codes are.
Its possible you friend the ABS system, probably the pump or the modulator.

BC.

I think I would pray for a miracle and disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if a "reboot" fixed it. You've got nothing to lose except your radio codes.
