ABS / Traction Control permanently on
Hey all,
I used the Car in the snow and it was trying to grip, after a while of being unsuccesful the abs and traction control lights came on and it was obvious i was loosing even more grip. Now i have turned off the Traction control before so i am aware of the on / off button but pressing it makes no difference. Basically both lights stay on permanently now and i have zero grip and not as good braking. Sometimes i switch the car ignition to middle and hold the traction button and it stays off but after a while both it and the abs come back on. Any ideas because its not the safest and very frustrating. Thanks, as always. |
You need to inspect your rear brake pads, and make sure they are still in good condition.
Also, if you have a Durametric, hook it up, and see what the codes are. Its possible you friend the ABS system, probably the pump or the modulator. BC. |
I think I would pray for a miracle and disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if a "reboot" fixed it. You've got nothing to lose except your radio codes.
