Top Not Working - Fixed!

Last week my started to be intermittant and then stopped working altogether.

Checked the fuse - ok.
Checked the top relay and cleaned the contacts - ok.
Checked the top cables/mechanism - ok.
Still no joy.

Figured from reading the forum that it must the the top microswitch within the windishield header. Ordered a replacement top microswitch from Pelican Parts and two days later replaced it in about 5 mins.

You'll need to remove the two black alarm covers and then use a torx bit to remove the header cover. Simply unplug the connectors to the courtesy light, the alarm, and the top microswitch. I had to pull kind of hard to get them to come out. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to rotate and pull the top microswitch retaining clips up and off and was careful so they wouldn't be damaged. I was able to re-use them.

Close inspection of the old microswitch (see pics) shows substantial corrosion around all of the solder joints (red arrows).

Top works great everytime now! Thanks to everyone who posts here. You folks saved me a trip to the repair shop and probably about $150 in labor.

The replacement microswitch from Pelican Parts was $38.

Did not get a quote from the dealer but I'm sure it would have cost me AT LEAST an hour of labor to trouble-shoot and replace it ($150).
