Maybe you should re-phase the question: "Which battery should I not buy?"

I can recommend buying an Autozone. I have had good luck with the one that came in my car.

I'm on my second factory "Moll" battery, which will likely need to be replaced this spring (though I keep the car on a maintainer). I definitely do not recommend buying one of these overpriced boat anchors. I'm considering changing over to an Optima Red Top...I've had great success with them in the past, as my latest one is over eight years old and going strong; never needs a top up.

One that fits, has the right power storage rating

and a warranty that fits your thought on how long you will have the car.

https://sites.google.com/site/mikefocke2/batteries has a list of ones known to fit.

A "Porsche battery" is nothing special. Nor is installation. If you have ever done one on any car, you can do it. Only trick...put battery into trunk...climb into the front trunk..now install in place. (and have your radio code card or number handy).

Don't recommend the Moll!

The Moll in my '08 Cayman S went South recently. Fortunately, it was covered under warranty, but to my way of thinking it should last more than 2 1/2 yrs.
Next time I will buy the one from Autozone.

Interstate

My Interstate is going strong after three years. I use a Porsche brand cigarette lighter type maintainer in the winter.

For less than $80 you can buy a wal-mart 3 year free replacement battery that fits very well.

I'm not a normal wally world shopper, but i do know how to shop around and you can't beat their price or warranty.

keep the cells hydrated and use a maintainer and 6 or more years out of an Interstate is normal. I'll bet 5$ wally is exide country, never liked their batteries, always the highest brand count in the dead pile we used to tip over to acid wash the floors..The warranty is prorated so you still can end up paying more than if you just eat it on the front end and the megatron in my city was only 72.00....

The Energizers sold by our Wally are made by Johnson Controls. Now how do I collect that $5?
