986 bulb chart

I want to go through and replace a lot of my old bulbs in the car to white LED. Besides looking up each bulb in the manual, is there a chart somewhere that has a list of what bulb fits in which part?

Thanks!

You may want to be careful with certain bulbs. Some have replaced their brake lights with LED bulbs and found that their cruise control stopped working because the computer could not sense the brakes were on due to the low power draw from the LEDs.

Thanks for the headsup! I replaced the entire tail light assembly with an LED setup, so no worries there.

And mods, feel free to delete this thread. There is a bulb chart in the manual, page 185...

Haha, manuals and charts? Who needs those when you have the collective knowledge of the 986forum! Seriously though, replacing bulbs in these things can be a bit of a treasure hunt. Here's a tip: When you take out the old bulb, write down the markings on it with a sharpie before tossing it. Makes finding the replacement a breeze.

Easy….

…Go to the Suncoast Porsche Parts website.

They have a pre-packaged LED conversion set for all the bulbs in the car.
