Non Porsche - HTML

Can somebody give me a step by step guide on how to switch on my HTML on this board. vB code, smilies and IMG codes are all on, but HTML is off.
I'm thick I know, so go easy with me, I'm not a computer guru........

I not sure the HTML mode is something you control, I think the administrator sets it for the whole board.

I've noticed that links in posts haven't been clickable for a while now. I've just been pasting the url's into a new browser window. I had assumed that this was something the admin had done on purpose to help speed up the loading of forum pages. There was a post asking peeps not to put links in their sigs because it slows things up so I figured this was all part of the same issue.
