Most '08S, with low mileage, are listing in the low $40Ks....

$40k sounds about right.

Original sticker shows 58K and change so it's not a decked out car.

If you were in Australia, it would cost you the thick end of $120,000 (new = $150,000).
Think yourself Very Lucky to get one for $40k..... I'm green with envy!

Stove, Its all relative.... Im sure some one making $100,000 a year in the US is making $300,000 a year in Australia doing the same job.

I'm not thrilled at 40K as this started as a 20-25K search for a 987 S. There are a few 05 S cars out there, 20-35K miles for $33-36K, so I figure would $38K for an 08 S with 2 years left on warranty be a better "deal"?

Yeah Evan - and I hear that PA is the highes paid per capita state in the US.....millionaires by the thousands.
I think that the average salary here is $55,000 / year.

08S is a 3.4 but still has the dreaded i.m.s . 40k plus is about average i have seen some less optioned ones up in the mid 30k range . there are a lot of 09 base models around , 255 hp with p.d.k for around the same price with the freshened look and no i.m.s to worry about.
