Get in the footwell...

... disconnect the two wires that plug into the clutch interphase microswitch and connect them together.
Now try the ignition again.
If you still have the problem I would then replace the ignition switch.

Where do I find the clutch interpgase microswitch?

Tried that and didn't work.

The ignition switch seems to be turning fine. Would it still be a good idea to replace it? What else could it be?

Boxster seem to have a poor ignition switch. Do what Pedro suggested
