I just purchased a 99 Boxster on the weekend and I have a bit of a stupid question. After going through stacks of receipts from the dealer, it looks as though my car has a 2.7L. According to one of the invoices, the dealer confirmed that the car has a 2.7, and that some 99s were sold with 2.7s. Does this sound right? Is there any way to visually identify the engine? Is there a code somewhere on the engine that would tell me what it is? Would the VIN tell me? Any help you guys can offer would be great. Thanks, Mike
