Need For Speed

Hey guy’s,

There are lots of threads about making our cars faster. In most of those threads at least one person also advises a driver’s course to really get the most out of our cars. Why spend the money to make the car faster, when we are not driving it to its current potential? Good question, however, there are very few threads on making the driver faster. I found this thread on driver’s education courses. It has some discussion which I found informative. Driving School Recommendations?? However, the thread is about 4 years old. It has a little information on some of the Racing/Drivers Ed schools. It discusses karting. It even suggests joining the local PCA club and going to their day long classes. I have not made the jump to join the PCA yet, but am considering it.

So, I would like to get a thread started with some more up-to-date and complete information. I would like people to post about their Racing/Drivers Ed school experience. Please include the following:
-Course name
-Location
-What cars did you drive?
-Cost
-What skills/concepts did you learn?
-Class time vs. Track time
-Overall impression, including pros and cons.
-Please compare to other courses you may have taken.

Thanks.
