We have to run on a Winter blend here which is 10% ethanol. Most if not all vehicles are engineered to handle it. If I remember correctly, I believe I read that it actually helps raise the octane rating. When it first came out years ago, we had problems with older engines (including bikes, outboards, etc.) having plastic and neoprene parts soften and "melt". But those parts have been redesigned to cope with an alcohol mix. One plus - you don't need to add HEET.

BTW - my '05 manual recommends 98 RON!

I've used it in my 01 without problems.

I run 93 in my 986 but one time I went up to Canada where only 91 was available, oh man! the car seemed to run like $hit to me. I don't know how you 91 octane guys can do it. My solution in Canada was to go to a auto store and get some Octane Boost, my car ran so much better once I uped the octane.

Politically its the right thing to do.

Sunoco, Texaco and Chevron are all domestically drilled and refined gasolines.

I've been running Sunoco 94 in my Corvette Z06 for two years, and several RX-7's and Supra's prior to that. I have never had any motor or fuel filter issues ever.

I swear by it.......and now it also goes into my S....
