Success!!! I actually ended up wih something similar. I went to harbor freight (fright as we call it) and bought a set of small drivers and modified one so its very short.
the hardest part was trying to see so close to my nose and not being able to get the focus through the glasses I wear. It also helps to have and extra joint between your elbow and wrist that I don't have.
Key works just like new again,
