Headlight installation problem, need advice

Hi

I took out my headlight today.. and when I tried to reinstall it there was a problem..

Blue socket.. the one that plugs into headlight is loose.. and I cann't stick it to the plastic plaque..

Is there something that I'm missing.. how do I attach blue socket to the plaque?
I can reinstall headlight.. but it's not plugged in..

Do I have to somehow plug it in before reinstalling?

It sounds like the bracket that holds it in place might be broken. Have you compared it to the other side?

In the short term, you can get your headlight plugged in by removing the inner fender liner and plugging it in from behind after you install the headlight.

There was no bracket there..
I took the plastic plate out and "manufactored" a bracket to hold it
Hopefully it will hold for a while.

Does anyone know part nr for plasctic bracket?

There's a few different parts that go into that assembly, so you'd probably be better off downloading the parts catalog and having a look. It's under "electrical;headlights" and there is a good exploded diagram with all the part numbers.

I had the same issue, had to replace the headlight mounting frame as it is integrated

If my improvised bracket (couple of plastic bits and some epoxy) doesn't hold.. I'll get that.

BTW I took headlight out to test a litronic headlight and I noticed that litronic one has two power connectors.. if I ever will have anough money to upgrade to litronics.. do I need another connector? I'm just curious..
