It sounds like the bracket that holds it in place might be broken. Have you compared it to the other side?
In the short term, you can get your headlight plugged in by removing the inner fender liner and plugging it in from behind after you install the headlight.
There's a few different parts that go into that assembly, so you'd probably be better off downloading the parts catalog and having a look. It's under "electrical;headlights" and there is a good exploded diagram with all the part numbers.

If my improvised bracket (couple of plastic bits and some epoxy) doesn't hold.. I'll get that.
BTW I took headlight out to test a litronic headlight and I noticed that litronic one has two power connectors.. if I ever will have anough money to upgrade to litronics.. do I need another connector? I'm just curious..
