Radio says...."W A I T"

So i took the face off the radio and when I put it back on it wanted a code.
I did not know the code so I tried the basic 1 2 3 4 then 1 1 1 1 then 6 5 4 3 after that one it just changed to a wait screen and will not do anything else. Anyone know how to reset it? I tried pulling the fuse and putting it back in but it did not work.

if you have a dealer nearby they might be willing to give you your radio code. there's no generic code, so you'll have to get the one for your radio.

while i was at a dealer last year they went ahead and printed out the radio code and other numbers for my car. i hear some dealers have no problem doing this and others refuse to do it. hit or miss.

if all else fails you might try contacting becker directly, but they apparently charge $20 for "research" fees. once you get the number, write it down and store it.

Here's a couple of links from the Renntech forum that should solve your problems, both the "WAIT" issue and the lost code. You may have to register if you're not already.

Radio Code FAQ

Lost code request page
