Priced for Boxster S 6-speed with bad 2nd gear?

Hi all, I just picked up my recently acquired 2000 Boxster S after getting a replacement transmission put in along with IMS bearing retrofit and RMS. Now I have the original 6-speed trans (70k miles) sitting in my garage which had a bad 2nd gear. It would mostly grind going into 2nd but sometimes would work. What is the going rate for something like this to help recover the costs for the new one I bought? I know the transmission can be rebuilt but not sure on the core cost of something like this?

A case of cold beer.

Call Gbox or Vertex to see if they are interested in buying it as a core. Rebuild cost is $2400 to $3400 alone, don't expect too much for your broken box.

Porsche transaxles are popular with the kit car crowd... at least the mid-engine kit cars. I think you could get $600 - $1,000 for it -- despite needing a rebuild -- if you market it on the right kit car board.

The popular transaxles for kits are the ones that will mate to the LS series motors, the G50 series. Our transaxles are the G87 series.

Yeah, didn't expect it to be worth much... I will list it for $500 and see what happens. Seems like the rebuild parts are not too bad though
