Taking First Trip

Well, after buying my first 01 986, we are taking our first vacation in it. I have put 5,000 miles on it in two months. Daily driver. Seventy miles round trip to work every day. Odometer has 32K now. Replaced the front tires (original), alternator, had the oil changed. All seems quite sound. We will be traveling from Oklahoma to Huntsville, AL, about 650 miles each way. Doing our best to plan to stay OFF the interstate and enjoy the scenery.
Any suggested roads or routes appreciated. Have two day to get there.

Thanks,

Bob

No suggestions. Just posting to support your enjoyment and the taking
of the road trips. I plan to do similar as you.

A simple way would be to go to google maps and select source and destination address and then select "avoid highways" after that you can make travel choices as if you want to drive by Memphis or other sites by simply dragging the route line and moving it.

Enjoy your trip and make sure to take and post photos

Taking First Trip

Appreciate it. That is what I have done. I've added about 150 miles over the freeway route just jogging around working our way to Huntsville. Been wanting to take a trip since I got it. Keep telling myself I should have bought one years ago. There is nothing that compares. Will post how the trip went when we return in ten days.
