I agree on the track point, but for me I will never track my Spyder. I have my DD, 08 STI for that. Tracking is very harsh on a car. For the most part this car will be in the garage, covered, and will only be driven on nice cool morning or evenings .

When I talk about holding it's value, I'm talking long term, not short term. Porsche enthusiasts will always be looking for those types of cars, low miles, low production numbers and showroom condition, nitch cars for nitch buyers. Everyone knows that a car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. That's long after KBB says what it's worth. And I willing to roll the dice on this car, only time will tell.

People say until you've taken your Porsche to the track, you won't realize what you've paid for!
And it's true.

Perhaps, but IMO, one should not buy a vehicle looking for it to hold a given value or return monetary investment. To the other gents point, there are quite a few 911GT3RS vehicles for sale, I do understand what you mean and sincerely hope it works out that way with your purchase, congratulations, it's a sweet ride.

That is not the only reason that I'm buying the Spyder, but would be icing on the cake. If it works out to be a good investment, great, if not, it was a hell of a car to own
