its funny that you post this because I was just looking at your backpack thingy to store my detaling sprays and towels.
Its like one bottle of glass cleaner, one bottle of cockpit cleaner, one bottle of Einzett for the tires and a waffle weave towel for each.
Right now they are all sitting either uner my seats or behind...very messy looking.

more stuff in my cupboard:
NXT spray (for wheels)
Wheel Wax
1Z Rubber and Vinyl (like armor all)
1Z leather cleaner
Lexol Leather conditioner
S100 Carnauba
Pinacle Carnauba
Klasse All in One
Klasse Sealant Glaze
Klasse VLRP (for black plastic)
Meguiars Scratch X
Sonus Clay Bar
Sonus Acrylic Spritz
Sonus Carnauba Spritz
Sonus Glass
Renovo Plastic Window restorer
Plexus
Raggtopp Protectant
Raggtopp Cleanser
A Porter Cable 7424 Polisher with various Pads
Two OXO feathertip brushes (for top and underbody)

and now I need this

Hey, what do you all suggest I use to clean my dash? When I use anything like armorall (nasty stuff collects dirt like mad and is too shiney) it gets dirty faster than you can imagine.

Is there a non-shine, non-dust attracting cleaner/protectatant out there I should buy?

throw away that armor all!
localy you can find 303 Protectant at autostores. I try to stick with the German made stuff. For cleaning I use 1Z cockpit premium(weekly) and for UV protection I use the 1Z vinyl and rubber care(bi-weekly, works nicely on tires as well as dash). Keeps it matte finish and dust free. Smells citrusy.

Incidentally, when the car is parked for more than an hour I always keep the top cover on (simialr to the one wetstuff is selling). I find keeping the interior dark eliminates allot of dust build up. The cover also keeps the windshield and windows cleaner longer. Its become a habit to put that cover on, at least until I buy a hardtop. After one winter the cover shows allot of wear, so I guess its already paying off.

I've had great luck just using the smaller California duster for the interior most of the time - I like seeing the road in front of me, instead of a reflection of the dash, in the windshield .

Not just for the garage, all faucets in my home get filtered water. It was just easier to plumb that way than to set up separate circuits. We don't have a big issue with hardness in the water, but organics and rust from the well itself... carbon filter gets it all.

autogeek.net
autopia-carcare.com
properautocare.com

They all have excellent how-to sections. I think autopia has a detailing CD-Rom for $10 I've been meaning to check out.

I use a Swiffer for the dusty dash syndrom. It picks all the dust up with out pushing it around. It also stores neatly in the door pocket for use when you are zoned out stuck in traffic. I change it out about once a month.
