Can the aos be cleaned?

I have been noticing a little more smoke out of tailpipe than usaual. It is still
a rare occurence. Also in 70k miles the car has never needed to add oil.
Recently I had to add a quart because it was low.
there is also oil on the AOS tubing.
I am assuming it is plugged.

Is it possiable to clean it? Am I over simplifing it by
thinking it is just a tube.

Thanks for the infomation.

You have to buy a new one. Also get the top tube and the boot. I just got mine from Northwest at cost of $150 with free shipping.

Ok.
well if I replace it, should I get the 2002 boxster OEM, the upgraded boxster AOS, or the GT3 AOS?

Is there a real difference? Is it not just a glorified over engineered PCV valve?

I went with the OME Porsche AOS and associated parts. My car is 10 years old and has 68K miles on it. That is a reasonable wear ratio. And it dosen't cost a bundle. I will forward you the email they sent me. All parts you buy will be the revised parts because Porsche has made some improvements.
