Smile Where's the best Clutch Kit deal?

I've got an 02 S and it's time to replace the RMS. I'm going to also replace the clutch while I'm in there. I've found an Ebay seller with a new Sachs kit for $315 plus $20 for shipping. Sounds like a good deal to me, but this is my first clutch kit for this car. Does anyone know where I can get a better deal than this? thanx Jerry

If it's a real Sachs clutch and comes with at least the pressure plate and disc, then $315 is about the best deal you're going to find from what I've seen. You're also going to want to replace the throw out and pilot bearing. I would stick with an oem Sachs clutch.

Replaced my clutch back in October. $315 + $20 shipping for a Sachs kit is about as good as it gets.

There's a good chance you'll also need a new flywheel. I used a Luk DMF042 on my '02 S. The guy on eBay selling them for $460 shipped has about the best price I've seen.

I called the ebay seller. They told me that this is the OEM Sachs clutch. Pressure plate, clutch disc, throw-out bearing, and grease come with it. I was told that the pilot bearing doesn't come with the kit because it is a Porsche part. I'm just going to pray that my flywheel doesn't need to be replaced. I'm preordering this to minimize down time in the shop.

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one today. Tomorrow someone will tell me about a better deal. LOL.
