997 C4S wheels- fit a 99 Boxster?

Hey guys,

I've searched and cannot find the answer...

I am looking at buying some 2006 997 C4S wheels for my ride. These are 19 inch. Does anyone know if they will fit with some real low profile tires?

Thanks in advance!

You will need to know the offset of the wheels to get the answer.
Rears will probably not fit without spacers.

The front are 19x8, offset is 57.

The rear are 19x11, offset is 51.

What you do think?

i don't think there's enough space in the wheel housing for 11"

one more thought:
I read somewhere that Porsche does not recommend putting 19" on older Boxsters as the much lower = harder sidewall put too much stress on the suspension.
remember that you could only get 99' Boxsters with 16" and 17" OEM rims

19" look a little large for my taste.
I think 10" rears are the max that will fit.

I'm also hearing from a few other guys on here that 10" in the rear is the widest I can go with a 1999 986. Too bad- had a great deal lined up.

Thanks for the input guys!

Porsche didn't offer 19in wheels on the Boxster until the 05 987 model came out, but they did offer 18in wheels for the 99 model yr 986. 18s were not recommended for the 97 model yr though, as their suspension was not updated to handle the larger wheel sizes yet.

He can go as wide as 10in the rear assuming the offsets are right, but really should go no larger than 18s as well.

Regardless of the offset, no way no how will an 11 inch wheel fit a 986 Boxster. Forget.

I run 19"s with 10" rears on my 1997 and have had no trouble whatsoever?!?! infact i can honestly say they smoothed out the ride, it does'nt feel as responsive in tight corners though (as in tight BUMPY english country lane corners)
