Would love to take it for a drive and witness it's personality. Gemballa is always a bit "over the top" when it comes to styling, but they wish to stand out from the crowd.

Price reduced to $105,000 USD.
If you bought it you could also enjoy 50% depreciation over the course of the next year or two and possibly get $50,000 USD for it.
I'd take a pass on this one.
Buy a roller from someone for next to nothing (considering the M96 blows so often it shouldn't be hard) and spend a fraction of that money on a Chevy LS1 and you'll be right there for a far less money... plus, the motor will be far more bullet proof.
The depreciation on a "Porvette" conversion will be high as well, but you'll still have piles of cash left over and the same permagrin on your face.

No Turbo will ever sound like a GT3RS, the Turbo muffles a lot of the sound

So you're willing to pony up tens of thousands of extra dollars for a different exhaust note? I'd rather have a wicked fast boxster AND a wad of cash in the bank at the expense of a different (sound preferences are highly subjective) exhaust note.

Sorry to be ignorant, but most all the cars in that ad site are over $100,000.00 even a 2007 box is $109,000.00. is that u.s. d. or pounds?

Well, since the site is in Australia I'd take the wild guess that the currency would therefore be Australian Dollars (which btw. has pretty much an 1:1 exchange rate against the US $)

There has to be something crazy going on there cause if you look on the site a my97 box not even an "S" is $34,000.00-$29,000.00 along with others at the same prices and none of them are very special other than in good condition. I only bring this up that the "TURBO" may not be as expensive as you think. I love my porsches but that is way too much.

High Prices
Yes gentlemen, welcome to my world!
Australia heavily taxes what are deemed to be "luxury cars". As soon as the untaxed value for a new car is above about 50k USD it has a luxury tax added, which comes on before the GST (think 10% sales tax on any good or service) to mean we pay a huge premium with tax on tax. This tax does not apply to the second hand market, however it is inherently built into the price due to an arbitrage between new and second hand prices (I'm sure the economists on here follow me).
Just to put it into perspective, a brand new Boxster S goes for about 150K USD without options.
If I was in the US guys, I would be driving a used GT3. I paid 60k USD (including transfer fees of about 4,500) 2 years ago for a 2000 Boxster S. It was a bargain as the dealers were selling them for about 75k USD at the time. Now after GFC etc. it is worth about 40k USD, but still expensive by world standards.
If you find that shocking, here is one for you. In my city, with a population of about 1.4 million, the MEDIAN home price is roughly $480,000 USD! Good luck first homebuyers!

Believe me, I understand that...just stating an opinion. I'm just not a fan of thundering Detroit noise, unless it happens to be fastened to the chassis of a vintage CanAm car.
Listen to the sweet sounds the Australian V8 Supercars make at 7500 rpm...haven't heard any Muscle cars sound like that.

Hahaha. I thought that too Viper, but it is not so bad. I spent a month in France a couple of years back, and as I was in Nice rather than Paris, needed to hire a car and drive around due to a lack of usable public transport. I had no problem sitting on the other side, or shifting with the other hand. Where I had a problem mind you was when I had a passenger giving me directions. When she said left, I would turn right, when she said right, I would turn left. I had to reverse the directions in my mind to stay on the right side of the road, which made navigation tough. We solved the problem by pointing rather than verbal instructions!
