Pgh, San Diego, Daytona, Pgh. Made it back.

Left 2-4, got back 3-1. Total miles, 8,349. The car was great. One of the small headlight reflectors came off when I was pressure washing it, so I siliconed it back on and that worked well. On the way back from the coast, somewhere in Texas, the air bag light came on and stayed on. Those were the only problems I had with the car. Mileage was 31/32 the entire trip. Had the top down in Arizona, Cal. and Mississippi. I finished up in Daytona, checked out the speedway and got a taste of "Bike Week". I traveled on some "interesting" roads. 89A thru Jerome, Arizona, Rt. 66 thru Oatman(watch out for the burros), Kern River road from Bakersfield over to Kern City, road to Camp Nelson and Sequoia Nat. Forest from Porterville, Rt. 80 thru Tombstone. Any of those were unforgettable. In Arizona I went from snow over the roof at Grand Canyon to riding with the top down on the way to Yuma, all within 24 hours. Great trip and a great car.

Sounds like a most amazing trip. Bravo! Ferry Porsche would be proud. Just the sort of trip he envisioned while tooling up the 356 prototype.
