Quick question about headlights..

On my way to work this morning, I noticed that one of my headlights were not working....the parking light was on and the high beams seemed to work...so basically one side was brighter than the other....

I have 2 questions...

1) If the bulb had fused, then shouldn't the parking light and high beams not work either...??? or are they all different bulbs...

2) Does anyone know the model no. or specifics of the bulb, can I purchase them anywhere and just install the myself???

thanks guys

dennis

Replacing bulbs

I just had the same issue. First determine whether you have Litronic or Halogen lites. The Litronic bulbs are about $300 +-. The Halogen you can purchase for approximately $25. They are H7. The installation process is pretty simple and there is a website to instruct you if you don't have your owners manual. The manual does a good job of describing the process.

A garage would no doubt charge you $100 for something that you can do in 20 minutes. Have fun

I guess this is not to be confused with one side only parking light feature on German cars?
THat one had me guessing for five minutes. Now I use it and people always tell me that I left my broken lights on

I asked about this a while ago and everyone told me one of my bulbs was out... I haven't looked into it yet though.

When people risk their lives, shouldn't it be for something very important?
Well, it better be.
But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Lots of people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well.
When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.

if you have the Halogens they come with H7 Philips bulbs stock.
So if you are trying to change the color or intensity try something different.

Yes the bulbs are available at Auto Zone, and they are much cheaper than 25.00. That is the price of the more expensive Silverstar bulbs. Regular H7's should run between 10.00 to 15.00 dollars at the most. Walmart even sells them. Just a thought, I always replace both sides because the other is usally not far from going out and sometimes you can buy them in packs of 2 at a discount price.
