Brembo brakes

My salesman is saying that the S comes with Brembos. I see no mention of that on the Porsche site or in the manual. Anyone have any info? The brakes are really fine whatever they are.

The brake calipers for the 996/986 were made by Brembo. The pads had the Brembo name on them but they are made by other companies.

I doubt if anything changed for the 997/987.

In the last issue of Panorama, they broke out the outsourced content of the Boxster. IF memory serves, it was Brembo on the brakes. If you have this issue, check it out!

Thanks. I've been away from PCA for some time since they rarely covered much on the 968. Now that the Boxster is coming, I'll be signing up.

Yes, they do treat the Boxster very much like an afterthought. Too bad, it is such a fine car.

Wait, correct me if I'm wrong. The 986 and 987 brakes are both made by brembo?
