Boxster Trade-in values...?

Curious, are Boxster's getting better than KBB trade-in figures?

Several owners I know have traded theirs in - instead of trying to sell private party right. I assume they just give up trying to sell in the winter months, esp if they are looking for a daily driver replacement vehicle.

Other than KBB is there a better guage to actual dealer trade-ins?

In my experience dealers offer less than the KKB trade-in value. You can check out Edmounds.com but they are usually even lower than KBB.

At least in my area, most dealers I have interacted with will use KBB trade-in as a maximum and then they'll ding you for anything they find that needs repair or refreshening. It seems 10% to 15% less than KBB is the going rate.

Of course, if they give you KBB trade-in, most likely they will not be willing to barter much on the list price of the new vehicle.

I was thinking of trading mine in since I'm having trouble selling my 3.6L Boxster. I haven't really tried all that hard but if i trade it in dont think I'd get nearly what I put into it.

Nada?

I stopped at the Audi/Porsche dealer today and they said they use the NADA values.
Quite a bit higher than either Edmunds or KBB. about 19K vs 16 ish.

Car in questions was a MY2003 with less than 30,000 miles.
