I haven't taken one out for awhile, but as I recall it's pretty simple. Remove the face plate. Slide the "removal tools" in on each side and the unit slilps out. If you don't have the tools, they're available on Ebay pretty cheap (and probably Sun Coast, etc.)

The removal keys are in fact available at Sun Coast. The face plate pops off when you push the button on the face plate. Mine's a tiny rectangular button on the right side (with no label on it.)

Oh ok, does your faceplate come off completely? Mine just angles forward to let the cd in and out. I have the CDR-220. Thanks!

As with some other items Porsche, the keys are the same as VW and can be had on ebay cheaper than I'll bet a Pcar part is.

My face plate comes off, and in fact the car came with a little plastic box with "Becker" on the lid to put the face plate in. Behind the face plate are big bright red letters saying "SECURITY."

Do the keys look like the attached pic? Wow mine definitely doesn't come all the way off after pushing the button. Does anyone know if all you have to do is push the button and insert the keys on a CDR-220?

You push the button and it folds down. Then there is a way to remove it. I do not fully recall and my Porsche is 1000 miles away so I can't help you. I had mine off about 2 months ago so I could install an iPod cable. Hope this helps.

I do not think you can slide out the radio without removing the little faceplate. And the picture you posted it the correct keys.

It comes off. After you open it, pull the face off the head unit. It shouldn't take much force.
